Simon Coveney, the Jesuit educated member of the secretive Bilderberg group that dictates Irish economic policies, has actually had the gall to demand that the church apologise to him and his government for a sermon that he disapproved of.
Coveney is known to cavort with dictators, breaking lockdown rules to travel to Iran on a vanity mission last year as well as drinking with Communist scumbag Xi Jinping during a previous visit to Ireland.
Coveney wants the church to have a say in what the Catholic Church says to its members. His Fine Gael party already does through its undue influence exerted over the so called Association of Catholic Priests, founded by relatives of high ranking members of Fine Gael. The ACP have agreed with virtually every Fine Gael policy over the past decade, with leader Father Tony Flannery even going so far as to admit publicly to voting for the party's abortion referendum.
Coveney's government delighted in dishing out punishment to the church during lockdown, sending Gardai to the doors of priests if a single extra mourner was spotted at funerals, while Coveney himself was gorging on taxpayer meals during lockdown breaking trips to Iran and Turkey during restrictions. As Ireland does not have an independent media, most journalists are merely using their jobs as auditions for being employed by Coveney or other ministers, he avoided any of the scrutiny that Boris Johnson received.
Coveney's party are currently trying to unfurl hate speech laws with the direct aim of jailing priests who might criticise the government.
The distraction in Listowel comes at an opportune time for the establishment. RTE who debated the topic today are still reeling from the scandals involving serial paedophile producer Kieran Creaven as well as the jailing of journalist Mícheál ó Leidhin for raping a sleeping woman.
In the past week, rumours have swirled about the identity of a member of the Irish establishment who has been grooming young boys online. The sick pervert has yet to be named, with one of the victims saying:
“The politician is still on the party’s website and my fear is he hasn’t paid any penalty for what he did. ‘He was on a social media post about two weeks ago and I fear that after a short time keeping a low profile that he is slowly making his way back.”
Perhaps Coveney should demand an apology from his government's broadcaster, or from whoever the sick party are shielding a grooming paedophile.
