France Returns to Prayer

While Covid lockdowns and related government mandates had a largely negative effect upon most of the Catholic Church, with buildings closing and finances suffering, many laity took the initiative to find new locations by which to express their faith in a communal setting.

In Ireland and Poland, the men’s Rosary Rallies were immense successes, taking to the streets, and their knees, as they prayed in public in a powerful witness to their faith.

In France, La France Prie assembled at public statues of Our Lord and Our Lady as an expression of their faith, rekindling the church's oldest daughter with the public faith that Saint Louis Marie de Montfort promoted.

The public rosaries started in France in January 2022 has had 2,800 groups of rosaries recited by 50,000 people across the country.

In October 2022, "La France Prie" will acquire through donations several statues of Our Lady of Fatima.

From October 2022, these pilgrim virgins will be transmitted to all the rosary groups registered on the site of "La France prie" and who wish to participate for a period of one week.

What are the goals?

  • To consecrate oneself to the Immaculate Heart of Mary in the spirit of St. Louis-Marie Grignon de Montfort.

  • To publicly repair the scandalous sins of our society and the outrages done to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary.

  • To hasten the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and of peace in the world.

If you are a rosary organizer, register your rosary group here before September 18: https://www.lafranceprie.org/vierge-pelerine. We will then put you in touch with a regional organizer.

Long live this wonderful project.
