England's football team have traditionally had problems with anti Catholic extremism amongst their fan base.
In 1995, anti Catholic ultra British group Combat 18 managed to secure virtually all of the away tickets to Ireland vs. England in Dublin (what are the odds?) and proceeded to start a riot, throwing up Nazi salutes in the process.
Although they have gone some way towards clearing up this image, it still rears its ugly head.
Last year, the majority of England fans in Wembley booed the National Anthem of Catholic Italy, in disgusting scenes that shocked fans watching at home.
Now, Italy has become the target of England fans again, this time with travelling fans chanting anti Catholic slogans in Milan.
In repulsive images published in a video by The Mirror, the fans can be heard chanting ‘F*ck the Pope’.

The video resembles scenes before this year's Europa League Final, when ultra Protestant football club Rangers FC chanted ‘We Hate Catholics, Everybody Hates Roman Catholics’, with UEFA refusing to punish them.
As per usual, England's FA have released no statement on the chants and punishment is unlikely, as some prejudices apparently are always acceptable.
