Only weeks after Brazil teammate Lucas Moura faced a barrage of intimidation from British journalists, Neymar has now called on his home country to turn their back on Communist candidates in the upcoming election.
One of the world's most famous footballers, Neymar has never been shy about his Christianity, wearing a headband with the name of Jesus on it after the 2016 Champions League Final.
In a new video released today, Neymar has called on Brazilians to support Jair Bolsonaro, the prolife President who survived an assassination attempt to be elected in the first place.
Neymar's endorsement is a defiant rebuke to the likes of The Mirror (founded by disgraced pension fund thief Robert Maxwell, father of convicted child trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell), who condemned Neymar for thanking Bolsonaro for visiting his academy. The Mirror wrote an article that could literally have just been anti Trump propaganda reworded:
“Bolsonaro has previously expressed homophobic and misogynistic views, as he is strongly against abortion and same-sex marriage. Some critics are worried that he will not respect the democratic result of the election, should it not go in his favour.”
In a TikTok video, Neymar told people to vote for Bolsonaro with a popular dance.
Far Left candidate Lula has said that he wants abortion to be legalised if he wins.
