Kamala Harris as POTUS? — Catholic Arena

‘Devout’ catholic Joe Biden stepped out of the 2024-28 race today. This means that Kamala Harris could be the Democratic nominee for President of the United States: POTUS.

This is a problem for the Democrats because she is scoring even worse than Biden in the opinion polls! Another issue is that Biden and Harris share ‘the ticket’…so have joint fundraising. That means that if Harris is not the candidate, all donated funds must be returned! All US$240,000,000!

Biden looks like he is staying on as the president. If he dies or is removed or resigns the Presidency before 20 Jan 2025, Harris will automatically become president.

Kamala’s position on issues relevant to many Catholics:

ABORTION: Kamala supports abortion up to birth, for any reason. (Curiously she attends a church in the American Baptist Congregation, which opposes abortion.)

In 2016, Harris's office seized videos and other information from the apartment of an antiabortion activist who had made secret recordings and then accused Planned Parenthood doctors of illegally selling fetal tissue.

AFFIRMATIVE ACTION: She supports reverse discrimination through Affirmative Action.

D.E.I.: Many suggest that Kamala was selected as VP as a Diversity, Equity & Inclusion choice [DEI]. Lefties claim that saying so is racist — they must not have listened to one of her inane speeches!

Kamala herself supports the principle of DEI: “In spite of those who in certain parts of our country want to attack DEI, we understand that you can’t truly invest in the strength of our nation if you don’t pay attention to diversity, equity, and inclusion.”

CAPITAL PUNISHMENT: She opposed Capital Punishment.

GUN CONTROL: She supports gun control.

IMMIGRATION: Under Biden she was tasked with the Southern Border in 2021 and has done nothing to restrict the numbers of illegal entries into the US. She supports San Francisco’s sanctuary city policy. There are many adverse outcomes with unlimited migration.

Encounters at the Southwest border (SWB) in FY2023 increased over 40% since FY2021, 4% compared to FY2022, and more than 100% compared to FY2019.

Last month, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) reported a 40% increase compared to September 2021 and 18% compared to September 2022.

Since President Biden took office, there have been 7.5 million encounters nationwide and 6.2 million encounters at the Southwest border, in addition to 1.7 million known gotaways.

In FY2023, 169 individuals whose names appear on the terrorist watchlist were stopped trying to cross the U.S.-Mexico border between ports of entry. 18 were apprehended in September alone.

So far in FY2023, CBP has arrested 35,433 aliens with criminal convictions or outstanding warrants nationwide, including 598 known gang members, 178 of those being MS-13 members.

In FY2023, CBP, including Air and Marine Operations, has seized 27,293 pounds of fentanyl, coming across the Southwest border—enough to kill more than 6 billion people.
