There are many petitions which have been circulating with signatories asking for a return to Mass.
Unless a petition lines up with their beliefs, Irish politicians do one thing with petitions, that is to throw them into the bin. Either a paper bin or the Recycle Bin on their computer. They are a waste of time.
What the politicians recognise are votes.
Starting today, we will be picking a number of TDs each day (in alphabetical order) and encouraging people to email them and to demand a return to Mass, as is being allowed in all of Europe.
Do NOT copy and paste an email as it will not be considered, use your own words, even if it is just one line.
But DO include this one thing:
Tell the politician that you will NEVER vote for them again if they do not do everything in their power to fix this situation.
Irish Catholics and prolife voters are the most naive out of all of the electorate, apart from perhaps young people who think that Sinn Fein will make the economy better. They will vote for Fianna Fail, Fine Gael and Sinn Fein and then wonder why things do not change.
Tell the politicians straight out, I WILL NOT VOTE FOR YOU. I WILL CANVASS AGAINST YOU.
That is how politics works.
Here is the first list of politicians, there are ten below. If you live in their constituency, tell them that you will not vote for them individually. If you do not live there, tell them that you will not vote for their party.
