Something is Stirring in France

In the past number of weeks, images emerging from France have given a jolt in the arm to Catholicism.

While many in the West have grown weary, even apologetic, about their faith, the lockdown rules against public worship have allowed for a more visible appearance of those Traditional Catholics who have been pumping blood into the heart of the church for the past decade.

Despite the horrific Islamic terror attacks in Nice, or perhaps because of them, French Catholics are now demonstrating their faith openly and boldly. The ignorant attitude of the French Republic has been of great assistance to this spirit of resistance, which has led to a Traditional Latin Mass priest being arrested in France in the past few days.

The eldest daughter of the church appears to be finding her way home, we should pray for these Catholics. As Emmanuel Macron lurches from catastrophe to catastrophe in defending the nonsense from Charlie Hebdo writers, Catholics should start to become bolder and to assert their right to claim France’s heritage as their own.

This is a quick recap of some of the recent events from France.
