In one of his first acts as President, Joe Biden reversed Donald Trump’s Mexico City policy, which outlawed US Abortion Imperialism, aimed at funding subversion efforts in countries resistant to baby killing.
The controversial American President claims to be a practicing Catholic, yet this active means of imposing abortion upon others is a very clear grounds for excommunication.
Now, Archbishop Ignatius Kaigama of Nigeria has condemned Biden’s Abortion Imperialism. In a recent interview, he stated that,
‘It is intriguing that one of Biden’s first official acts is to promote the destruction of human lives domestically and in developing nations. This order does not stand to reason; it violates human dignity’.
He then admonished Biden for not choosing to ‘prioritize the most vulnerable, including unborn children’, instead facilitating the ‘deliberate killing of children’.
The Archbishop dismissed the idea that Biden’s liberal Catholicism could excuse his ignorance on this matter, saying:
Vatican II and all the Popes down to Pope Francis have described the deliberate killing of a child before or after birth as a most grievous violation of God’s commandments
Life must be protected with the utmost care from the moment of conception: abortion and infanticide are abominable crimes.
As Bishops, we have always reiterated that abortion is a direct attack on life that also wounds the woman and undermines the family and above all, it offends God.
The once proud United States has gone from fighting Hitler to fighting babies in the womb.
The Archbishop recalls that Africans were happy with the Mexico City policy:
All the people that I spoke to who knew about this particular banning of funding for abortion organizations, they were actually very happy that the United States [was] finally recognizing the culture of most of the African people, the desire of most of the African people, the [pro-life] consensus that we have across the different African countries
Many ‘prolife’ and ‘conservative’ voices in the United States have put forth fantasies in recent weeks about how they are going to meet Biden halfway on prolife policies, promoting prolife activism that is not merely opposition to abortion. We wish them luck, but their cowardice to confront Biden’s policies means that people in every corner of the world will be faced with the controversial president’s Abortion Imperialism.
