In a new interview with Reuters, Pope Francis has commented upon the decision of the US Supreme Court to reverse Roe vs. Wade, the landmark ruling that paved the way for 50 years of slaughter towards the unborn.
Speaking only a week after the ruling, too late for many accustomed to the internet need for instant reactions, Pope Francis reiterated many of his criticisms of abortion.
According to the interview with Philip Pullella, Pope Francis said ‘he respected the decision but did not have enough information to speak about it from a juridical point of view’.
They also stated that abortion is ‘like hiring a hitman’.
Pope Francis then said: ‘I ask: Is it legitimate, is it right, to eliminate a human life to resolve a problem?’
He was more coy when asked about politicians receiving Communion while being pro abortion, he said:
‘When the Church loses its pastoral nature, when a bishop loses his pastoral nature, it causes a political problem. That's all I can say.’
