Pope to Say Outdoor Mass in Iraq

Pope Francis is to make an historic visit to Iraq at the beginning of March, a visit which will give hope to Iraqi Christians.

82% of Iraqi Christians were either killed or expelled after the illegal war of the United States and others in 2003 ushered in a violent nightmare that is still a daily reality for many to this day. The criminal war was begun with help from lying journalists from the New York Times and elsewhere, who lied about ‘Weapons of Mass Destruction’ in order to get the conflict underway.

Pope Francis will arrive on the 5th of March at Baghdad International Airport.

From there he will travel to the Presidential Palace for an official welcome.

The pope will then meet with religious figures at the Syro-Catholic Cathedral of Our Lady of Salvation in Baghdad.

The following day, he will speak with the Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Al-Husaymi Al-Sistani in Najaf.

That evening, he will celebrate Mass at the Chaldean Cathedral of Saint Joseph in Baghdad.

On Sunday, he will then travel to the City of Mosul, which was one of the worst hit by ISIS violence in the past decade, with Christians beheaded, crucified and raped.

That same day, the pope will visit Qaraqosh where they have recently rebuilt a statue of Our Lady that was destroyed by ISIS.

He will finish off his visit with an open air Mass at the Franso Hariri stadium in Erbil.

Please pray for Pope Francis, for all the Christians in Iraq and for the success of his trip.
