In defiance of the increasingly paranoid and volatile Irish government, Catholics on the East Coast of Ireland held Rosary Rallies today at their churches.
In Wexford, a small group of socially distanced families gathered together outside their church just as they did last week to pray the Stations of the Cross at the penal altar which was used when Mass was illegal between the Seventeenth and Nineteenth Centuries.
In Dundalk, a small socially distanced crowd gathered at the Cathedral to pray the Rosary.
Nearby in Enniscorthy, they did the same.
There was another Rosary Rally in Wexford, in New Ross.
In Dublin, there were also Rosary Rallies in Glasnevin and Sallynoggin amongst others. You can see the Sallynoggin event below:
There are more Rosary Rallies planned for Easter Sunday of next week, as Mass is still banned in the South but allowed in the North.
