To say that Joe Biden is a controversial figure in Catholic circles is an understatement, he has become a focal point for other divisions within the church, specifically those relating to abortion.
In some ways this has been a welcome development, with discussions over worthy reception of Communion and being in a state of grace now forming a central part of public political discourse.
In a viral video, Father William Kosco said that ‘Joe Biden is welcome to come to Mass here…his ideas are not welcome here…would I give him Communion? Over my dead body’.
Some irate pro aborts have stated that this was an unfair comment, even though theologically it is very sound, yet Father Kosco follows it up with ‘Pray for his conversion’.
He also tells pro aborts, if they do come to Mass, not to donate to the church because ‘I’m an honest priest’, he tells us.
Father Kosco is equally critical of the bishops for their silence on some of these issues.
It is a very powerful and comprehensive sermon worth listening to. There can be no doubt that this priest cares for the soul of Joe Biden and of other pro abortion supporters. At one point he becomes emotional and says ‘I don’t want you young people to grow up with this trauma that they don’t speak about’.
