During his Fox News heyday, Neoconservative television host Glenn Beck drew huge audiences for his provocative displays of anger at liberalism, specifically in Obama’s America.
Beck defined himself as a ‘libertarian’, playing an influential role in the rise of the Tea Party movement of that period.
In reality, is subsequent politics have revealed him closer to Neoconservatives than to Libertarians.
He currently works for The Blaze, where he presents his podcast.
In a bizarre rant this week, Beck attacked US President Joe Biden for making the Sign of the Cross.
Beck appeared to suggest that there was something anti Semitic in the fact that Biden (his daughters are all married to Jews) had blessed himself in front of Israel President Benjamin Netanyahu. Beck then appeared to suggest that Catholics were responsible for the mistreatment of Jews in early 20th Century Russia, as takes place in fictional film ‘Fiddler on the Roof’.
Beck also tweeted 'We shouldn’t have to tell the President not to make the Catholic Sign of the Cross in front of the President of Israel’.
For all his political flaws, even Joe Biden can be used by God to remind people in this case Glenn Beck who left Catholicism to become Mormon, of the faith.
