Campaign Manager Resigns After Anti Irish Tweets

It can be very easy to forget that the US Presidential election will also see other important votes taking place across the USA.

In Minnesota, a bizarre subplot played out this week, with a campaign manager and White House advisor engaging in some pretty radical self sabotage.

Matthew Brodsky was involved with the campaign of Dalia al-Aqidi and decided to unleash some outrageous tweets on Irish peacekeepers in Lebanon.

Brodsky could have easily taken umbrage with large pro Palestine demonstrations in Ireland, the government’s position on the Gaza conflict but instead he chose to attack Irish peacekeepers, who have an unblemished reputation for professionalism and impartiality.

His tweets crossed every possible line of decency, openly endorsing r*pe and even dropping napalm on Irish peacekeepers.

These calls for violence came as tensions continued to mount with IDF soldiers close to the Irish camp.

With a growing global backlash to the comments, Dalia al-Aqidi released a statement today stating that he had been asked to resign from her campaign and had done so.
