The Irish media have refused to cover the story of Bilderberg extremist Simon Coveney’s visit to Turkey last week to suck up to Erdogan. This has been for a number of reason, Coveney is a golden boy of Irish politics, thanks to his Bilderberg connections. The Irish media have become pro government and anti public during the past year, publishing articles blaming 5 people for showing up to a Catholic funeral recently while excusing things such as Leo Varadkar’s erratic semi nude behaviour during lockdown.
While Coveney visited Turkey last week, a crackdown on Christians was getting into full swing.
Not only did Coveney refused to address this on his trip, the usual Irish goodie two shoes who talk about Muslims in China, LGBT in Poland and so forth have not even ACKNOWLEDGED Coveney’s trip as even happening.
It is not unfair to ask why they make such a noise about these other events but none about this.
Ever since Erdogan desecrated the Hagia Sophia by turning it into a Mosque, anti Christian sentiment has increased. Authorities have refused to investigate an elderly Christian couple Hurmüz and Şimuni Diril who were kidnapped and dismembered in the past year. Christian Concern had said that this is very worrying.
For Coveney, educated at Ireland’s most prestigious Jesuit school, to travel from a nominally Catholic country at this time is a ringing endorsement of Erdogan’s policies.
Unfortunately, Ireland’s lack of meaningful opposition in politics and its government controlled media (Coveney’s brother is a senior figure at the state broadcaster) means that he can travel there (during lockdown) and escape questioning on the plight of Christians.
