In recent weeks, the world has been stunned by images from France.
There have been those pertaining to race riots against the police, with a number of these riots targeting religious places.
In one instances, rioters and members of the far left attacked a Catholic bookstore, shouting about them being ‘Fascist’.
The level of violence against churches in France has taken many by surprise, who have not followed this story over the past decade, where churches are torched, priests and parishioners are stabbed and other buildings are destroyed by the failure of the state to provide for their restoration.
Some of these are due to intentional violence.
Others are occurring due to Emmanuel Macron’s failure to protect churches from disrepair. This church caught fire in May. How was it allowed to catch fire again only weeks later?
At Mont Saint Michel recently, Emmanuel Macron promised to protect the churches across the state.
He has not lived up to this promise yet.
More churches will continue to burn.
