French Politician Evicted from Mass for Conservative Views

In a worrying trend, yet another politician has been excluded from a Catholic church for being considered too conservative.

In Germany, we have already seen church authorities seeking to ban members of the AfD from public life and now in France a similar incident has unfolded.

Patricia Chagnon Clevers was a candidate for the Rally National in the recent elections.

On the last weekend in June, she attended Mass and was evicted from the church by the wife of a socialist mayor.

The church may not agree with certain tenets of the right wing movement, but it certainly should not be excluding people, especially to please people with views even more antithetical to the church.
