Irish Catholics March on Dublin

Despite having the strictest anti religious lockdown laws in Europe, Irish people have been noticeably reluctant to stand up to the government publicly.

On Saturday November 28th, a group of Catholics gathered outside the GPO in Dublin to do just that. Reading from the Proclamation, the Catholics then prayed the Rosary before embarking on a procession with a statue of Our Lady of Fatima carried in the front.

They then moved towards Leinster House, the seat of Ireland’s Dail.

Mass is set to return to Ireland in the coming week, with restrictions, so it is good for Catholics to show that they will not take another ban lightly, especially with such unnecessary facilities as abortion clinics, the government bar and tv studios remaining open.
