About a month ago baseball team LA Dodgers inextricably reversed an initial decision not to honour anti Catholic hate group The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.
The group was established to mock Christ, in particular Catholics.
Why did the LA Dodgers want to celebrate them? Who knows, but it is unlikely that President and Part Owner Stan Kasten, who is descended from Holocaust survivors would allow say the Ku Klux Klan or someone who mocks Jews to be honoured inside the Dodgers stadium. Likewise, it is unlikely that President of Operations Andrew Friedman, who is also Jewish, would stand by and do the same.
The hate group were being honoured with a ‘Community Award’, we can assume as publicly mocking Christ and bullying nuns is considered some sort of service to society.
As it turned out, the pregame award was a disaster, with only 12 people turning up to the 56,000 seater stadium. Many of the 12 were actually booing the hate group.
Catholics successfully staged a massive counter rally, which put shame to the hate events.
