In a shocking new video, Pope Benedict XVI’s secretary Archbishop Gänswein has revealed the pontiff’s reaction to the wildly unpopular Traditiones Custodes.
The 2021 document severely restricted the Latin Mass, in a move that was seen as spiteful and counter productive, unnecessarily alienating many young people and families.
Ganswein said that it ‘broke his heart’ and that it ‘hit him pretty hard’.
He also speaks of the Latin Mass as a ‘treasure for young people’ and says that he is ‘not comfortable’ with the fact that it was taken away from them.
