Irish priest Father Sean Sheehy hit the headlines last year after opposing a number of government policies.
In reaction, the ruling Green Party surrounded his church during Mass on the following Sunday, a frightening development that would belong more in China, Cuba or Nicaragua than in the European Union.
Norma Foley of Fianna Fail, both of whom were once touted as being ‘prolife’, was the subject of Father Sheehy’s protests this time.
Foley and Fianna Fail are behind a radically graphic new sexual education programme, which is being designed to indoctrinate children in line with government social policy.
Fr. Sheehy was quoted in the media as saying:
The minister was informed about the peaceful protest beforehand.
Some of the people present stated they had written a number of times to the minister and there was no response.
I believe the church should be supporting people. Two people were invited into the office and then some people asked questions and gardaí were called.
The Irish state is currently seeking to enforce anti speech laws which could see people jailed for 5 years for possessing images or writing that the government deems to be offensive or counterproductive to their social engineering plans.
