Sinn Fein Collude To Ban Catholics From Prolife Prayer

In 2021, Sinn Fein abandoned their longstanding opposition to Westminster’s authority in Northern Ireland in order to support the implementation of abortion on Irish babies.

Now, the party are going one further by colluding with those who wish to ban Catholics from praying near abortuaries.

A new bill, presented by Northern Ireland Green Party leader Claire Bailey is intended to malign Catholics by openly banning them from praying near abortion clinics or from offering women an opportunity to save their baby if they are making the decision to abort out of desperation. The abortion industry always was and still is about about making money on the backs of as many murdered children as possible, it has never been about ‘choice’.

Sinn Fein have worked extremely hard in recent months to slander prolife Catholics, both North and South of the border. British politician Senator Paul Gavan was humiliated after claims that he made about Limerick hospital were completely debunked by journalist Cathal McCarthy. Likewise, TD Maurice Quinlivan’s completely baseless claims about the Men’s Rosary were debunked by Catholic Arena and others. Neither ‘man’ has yet apologised. Neither man will be required to apologise of course because Ireland does not have a serious political system, with new laws imminent that will penalise anyone who criticises such politicians online when they act in such fashion.

A petition against the measure from Right to Life states:

The Bill would allow the introduction of censorship zones outside abortion clinics and hospitals offering abortions across Northern Ireland.  This would make it a criminal offence to “influenc[e]… a… person [seeking an abortion], whether directly or indirectly” within “safe access zones”. The Billis would effectively criminalise offers of assistance in these censorship zones.

At Committee Stage of the Bill, a public consultation was undertaken on the Bill and only 13 of the 6,412 submissions from members of the public supported the Bill. Despite this overwhelming opposition from among the general public, the Committee decided to progress the Bill.

Precious Life have stated:

he bill, which has been brought by pro-abortion Green Party leader Clare Bailey, was debated by MLAs in Stormont on Monday (14th March). Bailey, who previously worked with as a “death-scort” outside a Marie Stopes abortion centre, told MLAs that her oppressive bill was “urgently needed”. She admitted the aim of her bill is to CRIMINALISE ANYONE who talks to a woman going into an abortion centre - offers her help or support - or simply holds a pro-life sign - or even stands silently praying. Any woman or man convicted will be fined up to £2500

A petition is currently asking MLAs to join those who intend to submit a petition of concern, with one more MLA needed in bringing about a challenge to the legislation.

Ask your MLAs to sign a Petition of Concern to stop the NI censorship zone Bill (righttolife.org.uk)

With very few prolife MLAs in Northern Ireland and the so called ‘Catholic’ politicians so openly pro abortion, it is hard to have any optimism for the province in the coming years.

There will be a Candle lit Rosary tonight outside Stormont at 7pm.
