An anti Catholic group known as the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence have found themselves dumped from the Pride celebrations organised by baseball team LA Dodgers.
The hate group, which regularly mocks Christ and the Catholic faith, had been billed to take part, before an outcry online.
Many legitimately asked why a sports team would go out of their way to offend people for no such reason.
Florida Senator Marco Rubio asked, ‘why you are allowing an MLB team to honor a group that mocks Christians through diabolical parodies of our faith?’.
As a result, the Dodgers cancelled plans to host the anti Catholic hate group, writing on Twitter:
We are now aware that our inclusion of one group in particular — The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence — in this year’s Pride Night has been the source of some controversy. Given the strong feelings of people who have been offended by the sisters’ inclusion in our evening, and in an effort not to distract from the great benefits that we have seen over the years of Pride Night, we are deciding to remove them from this year’s group of honorees.
It comes as American businesses have sat up and took notice of conservative voices following the successful boycott of Bud Light, which occurred after they had posted images of a man in woman face.
