The fallout from Pope Francis’s comments on Ukraine continue.
In an address yesterday evening, Vladimir Zelensky launched thinly veiled digs at the pope for suggesting that Ukraine should consider having the ‘courage’ to ‘negotiate’.
Zelensky criticised the pope for being 2,500km away and for ‘virtually mediating’.
In the interview in question, Francis asked how many deaths if the war continues.
Only time will tell which approach is the wise one.
