Crazed American Smashes Vatican Statues After Being Denied Meeting with Pope

In recent months we have seen extremists linked to Malthusian Doomsday cults launching attacks on the Mona Lisa and other historic pieces of artwork.

Now, an American thug has SMASHED a priceless piece of art inside the Vatican Museums.

The American, angry at being denied a private audience with Pope Francis, entered the Chiaramonti Hall and toppled two busts, smashing them into pieces on the ground.

Vatican police quickly arrived on the scene in order to apprehend the deranged Yank.

Both pieces have been sent to laboratory for fixing.

It is not yet known what the man’s politics were, if any, but we do know that the two most prominent protests at the Vatican in recent months were for climate change and for women’s ordination.
