Over the past 3 years we have had dreadful stress in our families, at work and from the serious events in the world, such as war in Ukraine.
The fatigue of 2022 caused me to stay off Twitter over Christmas in the hope of better enjoying family, festivities and the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. Between the odd tart, chocolate (& perhaps the occasional uisce beatha!) the idea of a hopeful New Year’s article had been twinkling in the background. We need something more than 2020/2021/2022’s ‘Doom & Gloom’ as we start into 2023.
St. Stephen’s Day I was catching up on Twitter and came across a delightful post from Sr. Mary Joseph of the Sacred Heart Sisters in the USA. She Tweeted the 12 ‘Christmas Prayers’ below which can adapt very nicely to be our 12 New Year Prayers!
If the Holy Spirit helps each of us to improve in even one or two of these virtues, we will make the world a better place during 2023!
Have a wonderful New Year!
