Israeli Persecution of Christians Heats Up

Since the turn of the 21st Century, one has been accustomed to the assumption that religious persecution in the Middle East is likely to be perpetrated by Muslims.

Yet, for all of Western media’s criticisms of Israel, they have chosen to stay silent on one very crucial issue, the cruel treatment currently being endured by Christians there.

A Jewish group called Tag Meir have documented at least six serious incidents since the start of 2023, ranging from attacks on graveyards, to vandalising of statues to attacks on religious people themselves.

There have been videos of Israelis spitting at Christians as they carried a Cross through the streets for Good Friday.

A few months ago, an American Zionist ransacked statues in a church in the city.

There was also footage of a bishop being assaulted by a Zionist during Mass.

There have been threats of bills that would enable jail time for Christians who preach in public, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declaring his opposition to the bill. This supposed opposition has been typical of his recent administration, where he allows the extremists to do as they please while simultaneously pretending to protect religious freedom.

Christians across the West, especially those in the United States, need to show in no uncertain terms that this current persecution needs to end. Whether through sanctions, withholding of aid or expelling of ambassadors, the attacks on our faith must end.
