The online world works in such a fashion that we often come across the same videos and images on a loop, as if the internet is a smaller place than a meeting place of billions of people.
Think of Pope Francis saying ‘Who am I to judge?’ or Joe Biden waddling around confused looking for instructions, it seems as though we are presented with the same events until we imagine that they are all that there is.
From time to time however, a video comes to our attention which reminds us of the initial fascination that the internet brought in the 90s and 00s.
One such video is the incredible clip showing the last moments of a priest in Canada, who utters the words ‘Thank you Lord’, before dropping immediately to the ground.
Father Gaston Hurtubise was speaking at the Charismatic Congress in Ottawa on June 26, 1992.
Although there is obvious sadness in his passing, many online have been taken aback by the perfection of this moment, a moving sermon ended with a thank you to God and finally a uniting with Him.
