Recent comments by Pope Francis have drawn criticism.
Francis was speaking behind closed doors in the Vatican and made comments which have since been leaked.
In one instance, he called for priests to steer away from ‘f*ggotry’. This was followed by an apology for any who may have been offended.
The second set of comments concerned women, about whom he said that they ‘gossip’, advising young priests to remember that we (men) wear pants and must speak meaningfully instead of gossiping.
It must be said that although these comments have caused controversy, an overwhelming number of online comments have been supportive of both statements.
