One of the most popular figures with young Catholics, Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati, is set to be made a saint ‘soon’ according to Pope Francis.
Speaking in the Vatican, Francis told those gathered of the impending beatification, saying:
I am reminded of Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati -- soon to be a saint -- who went to the homes of the poor in Turin to bring help
Frassati is popular in part because of images of him hiking and engaging in other youthful activities.
