Irish politicians have been calling for the public to deal with Christians, telling them to ‘get them out!’
Well, it looks like they are now getting their wish.
Kildare was hit by two separate fires on church grounds this week, with at least one believed to be intentional.
In Athy, the parochial house is believed to have been intentionally set on fire in what looks like a hate attack.
Fr. Liam Rigney said that his house was broken into and deliberately set on fire. A local politician suggested that people who arrived at the house looking for help earlier in the day may have returned later to set it on fire.
The previous evening, a large fire broke out on the grounds of Saint Brigid’s Cathedral.
Although it is now a Church of Ireland church, it is historically associated with Catholicism and is the site upon which Saint Brigid herself is associated with.
Footage of the shocking blaze was posted to social media by a local politician.
