In recent weeks, the level of political tensions in France has continued to increase.
Firstly, there was the letter from French military figures which was described in foreign media as a threat of ‘coup’.
Secondly, there was the vicious street assaults against Catholics by Antifa and supporters of the Republic.
Now, it has been dialled up a notch with Emmanuel Macron being SLAPPED in public by one of his own citizens.
Macron was visiting the Drome region of Southern France, when he was seen running towards a crowd that had gathered. As he came up to one man, he placed his hand on the man’s arm, only for the man to then slap him across the face.
The man shouted ‘Down with Macronism’ and ‘Montjoie Saint Denis’, which was the long term cry of the motto of the French Kingdom.
One Twitter user quipped that the assailant was an example of ‘Radical Medieval Terror’.
He has criticised them again.
