With the ‘St. Patrick’s Festival’ in Dublin becoming increasingly commercialised and secular, thanks to the influence of increasingly anti Catholic Dublin mayors, people of faith are choosing to organise more faith based events for Ireland’s national holiday.
This Saint Patrick’s Day, two events are organised to celebrate the Feast Day in County Meath and others in Dublin.
A prayer walk will take place at the Garden of Remembrance.
One is Vespers followed by Mass at the Hill of Slane, where Saint Patrick defied the Pagan King by lighting the Paschal Fire. The event is organised by the Franciscan Sisters of the Renewal.
The other is a Rosary at the Hilly of Tara on the 18th of March organised by the Legion of Mary.
