World Bishops Invited to Consecration, Irish Set to Join

One of the criticisms of the recent announcement that Russia would be consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary was that it did not include all of the bishops of the world joining Pope Francis in unison.

Now, a letter from the Apostolic Nuncio to the United States has said that Pope Francis will invite the bishops of the world to join him on Friday March 25th.

While we await word on who is set to join him, the Irish bishops have responded to an appeal to join the consecration by confirming that they will do so on Friday. This was confirmed in a tweet by the Primate of All Ireland, Archbishop Eamon Martin.

New Prolife Group in Cork University

Legion of Mary Event to feature Music, Art and Adoration

Following the success of their recent Men’s Conferences, the Legion of Mary’s centenary celebrations continue with a new event showcasing the creative arts.

Entitled ‘Shadows on the Wall’, the Legion of Mary have stated that it will:

This night is planned to take the arts back from the nihilists. We are hosting an eclectic night of faith, arts and adoration focusing on God’s creativity in a world that wants to shut Him down.

Catholics need to create their own culture, so we invite everyone to come and join the growing Catholic underground.

The event begins at 7 with adoration and music and arts presentations until 9, followed by tea and time for socialising.

Admission is free and the Legion especially extends an invite to lapsed Catholics and those curious about the faith and looking for something different.

Ireland's Rosary Rally Revolution

Despite efforts at smearing by pro austerity politicians in anti Irish political party Labour and pro Orange Order party Sinn Fein, the Men’s Rosary Rally continues to grow from strength to strength across Ireland, North and South.

Beginning in the Autumn of 2021, the Rosary Rallies were inspired by the efforts of Polish Catholics, who took advantage of lockdown to create a worldwide movement of men displaying public acts of devotion to Our Lady. Taking place in public areas of prominent cities, the Rosaries were designed to follow the examples of St. Louis Marie De Montfort and others who espoused the importance of public prayer.

Beginning in Northern Ireland, the events have since moved to the South where they have attended large crowds of men praying in reparation for the sins of men in Ireland.

One event this week took place in Cork City.

Another large group attended at the Rally in Magherafelt.

As the church ponders its next move, in a dispirited culture and wider Irish society that has lost its sense of purpose, these rallies have provided a confident and renewable framework for reasserting Irish Catholic identity.

Men's Rosary Takes Place This Weekend

The Irish Men’s Rosary takes place again this first Saturday of the month, March 5th. The wildly successful event will occur in a number of locations across the country. Visit www.mensrosaryireland.com for more details.

The organisers of the initiative have stated the following:

Just a small update to the different men's Rosary groups to let you all know that the men's Rosary on the street is going from strength to strength and has spread to many parts of Ireland and around the world. In the North of Ireland it has been in Derry, Newry, Belfast, Armagh, Omagh and tomorrow in Magherafelt and in the next months Ballymena, Newcastle, Lisburn and Enniskillen with crowds of 200 men turning up, many with their wives in support on the periphery.

The Men's Rosary has really taken off in the Republic of Ireland with Sligo planned for April and Carlingford for the summer and Rosaries already happening in Dublin, Cork, Galway, Tralee, Athlone, Abbeyleix, several sites in Donegal including Letterkenny and Carndonagh and many other areas.

The Men's Rosary started in Poland where every first Saturday there are over 25 towns and cities involved with crowds of men up to one thousand at some of the meetings. It spread from Poland to Ireland and from Ireland around the world. England Scotland and Wales are involved as is the USA, Mexico and Ecuador as well as starting in Sydney, Malta and Gibraltar.

There is interest from India and Africa and mixed groups of people saying the Rosary have started all over Europe with over 800 sites in France alone where the Rosary is said publicly every Wednesday evening. We should never underestimate the power of the Rosary as Fr Donald H Calloway MIC book 26 Champions of the Rosary demonstrates. Our Lady said to St Dominic..

Whoever propagates my Rosary will never be lost.. And this applies to all of us! In the book Servant of God Fr Joseph Kentenich is quoted as saying that the Rosary is far more superior to all the weapons of modern warfare in overcoming the enemy of God.

Finally we should not forget how Fr Petrus Pavlicek set up public Rosaries in Austria after WW 2 to make the Russian communists leave and in 1955 they suddenly upped and left and no reason was ever given. I am convinced that if enough men say the Rosary on the street on their knees in public that we can completely change the world to a much better and happier place.

There will also be another event on St. Patrick’s Day.

Irish Priest Throws Paint on Russian Embassy (AUDIO)

With Pope Francis leading the way on dignified and prayerful responses to the current crisis in Ukraine, some priests have chosen to take a different route.

On a day where the Russian Ambassador appeared on Russian state media Russia 24 to claim that Ireland was the most overtly anti Russian nation in the West, an Irish priest was appearing on his own country’s state media to broadcast himself throwing paint onto the gates of the building.

Father Fergal MacDonagh previously hit the headlines after allowing an Imam to pray to Allah, invoking the names of Moses, Jesus, Mohammad and all the prophets on the altar of a Catholic church.

Now, he appeared on Liveline with Joe Duffy, a popular talk show on Irish state media. The audio is below, where he douses the gates in red paint, sets off an alarm, discusses the building being destroyed by arson and finally gets approached by a Garda.

It is as surreal as it sounds.

The stunt coincided with the Russian Ambassador Yuriy Filatov appearing on Russian media and stating that the relationship between Ireland and Russia had deteriorated:

Naturally the general political situation is simply hostile towards Russia and everything Russia.

A very negative role, of course, is being played by mass media that shows an absolutely tendentious picture of the events happening in Ukraine at the political level, but Ireland is in the forefront in the European Union and wider with regards to various anti-Russian events.

In this regard, it is probably hardly possible to talk now about any relations between Russia and Ireland. We are mainly supporting a channel of communication with the Irish.

“There is probably a certain sense in this because even in these difficult periods there is need in them.”

As our minister, Sergey Lavrov, said in the interview maybe they will stop going crazy in the West and will understand where, what and how in reality, but for now we are dealing with what we have.

RTE Times 'Documentary' to Attack Lent

By Thomas Hegarty

Irish Catholics warned to brace themselves as Lent approaches. It is now customary for RTE and the government on the run up to Catholic liturgical dates, to broadcast documentaries and release reports that attempt to portray Catholics in a poor light. When Catherine Zappone was in the Irish government, her department would always release an interim report on the mother and baby commission on Easter week.

This practice stopped after the commission found no evidence of babies being “dumbed in septic tanks in Tuam or no evidence that babies were ever sold to rich US couples by nuns.

This year, at the start of Lent, RTE will broadcast a documentary on the women in the Magdalene Laundries. We’ll soon see how RTE approach this difficult story.

The timing of its release has us wondering if it will be fair to Catholics, the Irish State and Irish Society in general.

For the women who were in these laundries, they deserve to have their voices heard and their stories told. But is RTE capable of presenting the topic in an unbiased way? We will have to wait and see. Their track record is poor in this regard.

Note for overseas readers: RTE is the propaganda arm of the anti Catholic Irish government

Father Edward Daly and Republican Revisionism

By Thomas Hegarty

During the civil war (or as RTE and BBC prefer to call it “The Troubles”) in the North of Ireland there was a road sign on the way into Derry marking the city limits. It Read; Welcome to the Historic City of Londonderry.
But Derry people being Derry people and with a mix of gallows humour, the sign received a slight modification. Welcome to the “Hysteric” City of xxxxxxDerry.
That road sign summed up exactly what Derry was like to visitors. But to Derry people, it was business as usual. We laughed through the smoke and the smell to quote Phil Coulter.

Having marked the 50th Anniversary of bloody Sunday, the camera crews and politicians have left the Maiden City. It’s a good time to reflect on the role of Catholic leadership in Derry on Bloody Sunday and the years afterwards.

Some social media comments on the 50th anniversary of Bloody Sunday last month were used to attack Catholic leadership at the time. One social media post was written by a Catholic priest who also posted a photo of the iconic mural of Fr. Edward Daly with a victim of Bloody Sunday. Here are some responses to the priests post;

One armchair social warrior posted:

“the priests with a few notable exceptions condemned republicans and refused to leave in coffins with flags on them into churches while giving every comfort to British soldiers who fully supported the (South African) apartheid regime…we had no Desmond tutus standing up for nationalists”

Another wrote:

“(Catholic) leadership ignored them (Bloody Sunday victims) in their campaign for justice for 40 years”

Then there’s this post:

“very easy for the priest to pontificate and preach forgiveness , whilst deliberately ignoring the pleas of the parachute regiment / Westminster victims and their families quest for justice.”

All of these commentators chose to completely ignore the fact that a Catholic priest was down in the Bogside in the middle of a massacre, giving the last rites to the dead and dying and trying to get critically injured men and boys to safety.

Revisionists should never be allowed to rewrite history to suit their secular anti-Catholic narrative.
It’s an inconvenient truth for these revisionist republicans that Fr. Edward Daly, a Catholic priest was helping his parishioners in their darkest day during a battle that included heavy duty armoured vehicles, tear gas, rubber bullets, and live dum dum bullets.

But Fr. Daly was there in the thick of it. FEARLESS. PRESENT. SHOCKED. BUT STILL FEARLESS. A HERO.

Derry people were proud of their priest and were delighted when he became Bishop.

Later, the Catholic leadership took a lot of criticism for not allowing the IRA drape Irish Tricolours on IRA coffins entering Catholic churches. This was an unpopular move and it was not received well. However, Northern Irish Catholics knew it was a prudent move by the Catholic leadership. By not allowing any political emblems into a church, the Catholic leadership could quietly act as trusted negotiators and go-between a for peace in the North.

Bishop Edward Daly led an exemplary holy, devout life. Derry and the world mourned when he passed away. Pope Francis sent a message of condolence to the Diocese.

"The Holy Father was saddened to learn of the death of the Most Reverend Edward Kevin Daly, Bishop Emeritus of Derry, and he sends heartfelt condolences to his family and to the clergy, religious and lay faithful of the Diocese.  Recalling Bishop Daly’s generous and dedicated episcopal ministry in the service of peace and justice, His Holiness joins you in prayerful thanksgiving for his life and in commending his soul to the merciful love of God Our Father.  To all who mourn the late Bishop’s passing, Pope Francis cordially imparts his Apostolic Blessing as a pledge of hope and consolation in our Lord Jesus Christ."

Unlike todays social justice warriors who hide behind their keyboards to attack Catholic leadership from afar and often anonymously, Bishop Edward Daly led publicly and from the front. He served his hysteric Maiden City as a brave Christian leader. He never apologised for his Catholic approach to bloody violence on both sides. He guided Derry Catholics on a very difficult journey at a very difficult time in history.

Bishop Edward Daly was truly Legenderry.

New Documentary DESTROYS Pro Abortion Claims

A powerful hour long video from journalist Cathal McCarthy has completely DESTROYED efforts by a cabal of London born and raised politicians to sideline prolifers and Catholics in Limerick.

In a stunning and comprehensive video, McCarthy points out the obvious absurdity of claims by Londoner Paul Gavan of Sinn Fein and other London raised micro party minor politicians based in Limerick.

In one part of the video, Senator Ronan Mullen calls out Gavan for making untrue claims, which drives Sinn Fein into a rage.

The video also debunks ridiculous claims recently made in the Irish Independent that have since been retracted.

Together for Lies is a must watch and a reminder that the abortion industry in Ireland, and its anti Catholic and Anglo Supremacist cheerleaders, are not quite so certain of success if they have to resort to such desperation.

The safety that they are seeking seems to be for their own careers and for their own rotten ideologies, if prolife groups and Catholics committed to life stay organised and determined then victory is not so distant as some would have us believe.

Sinn Fein Claims Debunked (VIDEO)

British raised politician Paul Gavan hit the headlines last week after claiming that ‘women and pregnant people’ were being ‘intimidated’ while trying to abort their babies in Limerick.

Gavan hilariously cited a ‘study’ by astro turf pro abortion group Together for Safety, which made several unverified claims of harassment by prolife advocates in Limerick.

As it turns out, a new video completely debunks the British raised politician’s claims about the treatment of androgynous wombed peoples in the South West.

The video, uploaded by journalist Cathal McCarthy, comically shows two gentle women named Antoinette and Meta softly stating that they pray silently in ‘solidarity with the unborn whose lives are taken’. They also said that sometimes the fathers and mothers in the maternity hospital ask them to pray for their babies.

They also stated that they do NOT approach people and in fact become quieter when people approach them.

Cathal McCarthy also asked them about Sinn Fein’s accusation regarding when abortions take place, something that was the subject of a recent scandal involving campaigner Ellen Coyne.

The women said ‘we know the hospitals that have been approved for abortion, that’s just a fact’.

They also confirmed that the hospital has no problem with them praying, even though local politicians do.

The debunking comes on the same day that Catholic Arena debunked another Limerick Sinn Fein TD’s claims that Catholics had gate crashed a ‘Vigil’ in the city. In the shocking sectarian footage, small girls are subjected to horrific sectarian abuse, similar events at Holy Cross School in 2002.

The American Imperialist pro abort shouts:

'Catholic m*therf*ckers dumb. The f*ck y'all doin? Praying to God? P*ssy sh*t'

Ireland becomes less and less serious as a country that more that politicians are allowed to behave with impunity in this fashion. Sinn Fein, Social Democrats and Labour are technically ‘opposition’ parties, yet are doing this as the minions of the government’s astro turf abortion group Together for Safety. Sinn Fein are supposed to be a party representing Catholics, yet they are dedicated to harassing and abusing Catholics, even outright lying about them and inciting death threats. Labour and Social Democrats are supposed to represent ordinary people, yet here they are slandering and abusing ordinary people.

There are some Catholics who are very ‘nice’ and ‘thoughtful and ‘kind’ and who think that this mistreatment will never target them as they quietly practise their faith, but the impending left wing government under Sinn Fein will seek to build on the anti Catholicism that the party is currently more open about engaging in.

Cathal McCarthy’s Full Video debuts this weekend, subscribe to his channel to see it.

'Catholic Motherf*ckers' Horrific Sectarian Abuse in Limerick

A month on and the fallout continues from the Far Left’s efforts to smear innocent Catholic men in Limerick.

A number of pro abortion extremists tried to exploit the tragic death of a young teacher in January, by calling for an end to single sex Catholic education (even though the suspect was not from Ireland and hence could not have been influence by our education system), while some more sinister elements tried to use it to attack Men’s Rosary Rallies.

Despite assistance from ‘journalists’ and ‘politicians’, the attempted smear has largely fallen flat only a few weeks in as footage definitively proves that it was the pro abortion group harassing those praying the Rosary and not the other way around.

In fact, in the latest footage, small little girls are being called ‘Catholic motherf-ckers’. The megaphone clad American shrieks ‘m*therf*ckers dumb. The f*ck y'all doin? Praying to God? P*ssy sh*t'.

A Sinn Fein TD later claimed that the group that included praying little girls were actually the ones in the wrong! The horrific scenes evoke memories of the Holy Cross School incidents of twenty years ago in the North, where Catholic schoolchildren were subjected to horrific sectarian abuse, the difference this time is that Sinn Fein are fully on the side of those delivering the abuse and fully against the Catholic children.

The Forgotten Martyrdom of Saint Valentine

By Thomas Hegarty

Back in the 3rd century, under the rule of Emperor Marcus Aurelius Claudius II, “Claudius the Cruel”, Rome was involved in many unpopular and bloody campaigns. The emperor had to maintain a strong army, but was having a difficult time getting soldiers to join his military leagues. Claudius believed that Roman men were unwilling to join the army because of their strong attachment to their wives and families.

However, the Christian St Valentine of Terni, a holy priest, (some say Bishop) in Rome was said to have celebrated marriages between Christian couples in clandestine secrecy in Rome and advised married men not to go to war and to stay with their wives.
When the secret came to light, Roman Emperor Claudius ordered Valentine’s execution on 14th February 269. His martyrdom was brutally carried out by beheading.

Valentine was buried in Terni near the present Basilica, in a cemetery that already existed in pagan times, where several objects of the 4th and 5th centuries were found. A first basilica was built in the 4th century, outside the walls, on the martyr’s tomb. Destroyed by the Goths together with the city in the 6th century, it was rebuilt in the 7th.
In 1605 Bishop Giovanni Antonio Onorati, obtaining a permission from Pope Paul V, ordered to begin the search for the body of the saint. The body of St. Valentine was soon found in a leaden box containing a marble urn, rough outside but carved with reliefs inside. The head was separated from the torso which confirmed death by beheading. The urn was immediately taken to the cathedral. But the people and the Congregation of Rites wanted that the relics of the martyr continued to rest where they had been buried. So it was decided to build a new basilica on the site.
In 1630 the relics were deposited in an artistic ark consists inside a supine statue. The statue could be seen up to some years ago under the main altar rebuilt by Archduke Leopold. Valentino’s tomb was moved to the new altar in 2003. In the same year, the skull that had been stolen from the tomb in 1979 was returned to Terni.

The original religious celebration named after the Christian saint and martyr Saint Valentine of Terni was established by Pope Gelasius I in 496, to replace the previous pagan festival of Lupercalia. The festivity spread especially in France and England by means of the many monasteries of the Benedictines, who were in charge of the Basilica of Saint Valentine in Terni from the second half of the 7th century.

Dublin’s Valentine Shrine

The Whitefriar Street Carmelite Church (Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel) in Dublin is unexpectedly one of the city’s most romantic spots. Many are drawn here because the church holds the relics of Saint Valentine, a gift from Pope Gregory XVI in 1836, a small vial of Saint Valentine’s blood. This shrine contains “some” sacred body parts of Saint Valentine the Martyr, together with a small vessel tinged with his blood. They were given to the church by Pope Gregory XVI. They’re kept in a casket on an altar to the right of the main altar. The Shrine to St. Valentine is found on the right hand side of the church as you enter. The casket sits beneath the marble altar in a niche which is protected by an ornate iron and glass gate. Above the altar stands the life-sized statue of the saint set into a marble mosaic alcove.
Today, the Shrine is visited throughout the year by couples who come to pray to Saint Valentine and to ask him to watch over them in their lives together.

Prayer to Saint Valentine
Dear Lord, who art high in the Heavens,
Giver of Love and Passion,
And He who strings the heart’s cords,
Lead the Lovers this day, February ten plus four.
The day during the month of two,
When the date is the perfect number of God
Greater two souls and two hearts.
Some Loves are fleeting ,
But that which is built on you will never fail.
So guide the Lovers to know what is to be.
Your truths the Lovers’ mouths should speak,
For Your truth is that which is honest to the heart.
Only this, then, should pass over the red lips of the Lovers.
Your art, the Lovers simply a medium.
It is only with True Hearts that You can create a Masterpiece,
So let the Lovers remember that their Soul’s Desire
Is the one for which You light their Fire.
And let it be You who creates the Art of the Lovers;
The art of two into one.
Amen.
